Santa

Derek met Santa! We got there nice and early, so we were close to the front of the line, so there were no line meltdowns. We would have left if there was a line meltdown because no photo is worth torturing the poor kid, but he was his usual sunny self. The kids in line behind us were a wee bit naughty though. Climbing all over everything, pushing each other, generally being kids WHO HAVE FORGOTTEN SANTA IS JUST ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CURTAIN. I am not sure why people think some elf toy that reports to Santa is going to be at all effective at keeping their kids well behaved when kids don’t even care that SANTA IS RIGHT THERE JUST A CURTAIN AWAY. Brave, Brave kids.

We got our photos done at metrotown at metropolis. $2 a photo, and proceeds go to charity. Win!

My only complaint is that we were a bit rushed. I think if they’d given him a moment to settle and get used to Santa, we would have gotten a smile. Oh well, next year!
