I decided to just completely restart Couch to 5K. Although my endurance has inproved IMMENSELY since I first started this a year ago, I never really got any good speed going. Also, I’ve been hanging around week 5 for forever. I think if I restart and get some good momentum going, I’ll be motivated to move on to week 6.
On that note, I did Week One, Day One this morning. I remember the first time I did it, I would be almost DEAD by the time I got to the one minute mark of each run, but they actually went by pretty quickly this time.
Here is what my intervals looked like:
In order to do 5K in under 30 minutes, I need to have the running paced at less than 6min/km. I only acheived that for ONE running cycle (the ones marked fast) this time, and I was assisted by some negative elevation. So that’s the goal for the other two runs this week – get the pace down to under 6.

It’s a good idea to start over. I’ve sort of done the same with my half marathon training. Keep at it this time and get it finished then you can come and run the 5K race with me.
